Untitled Art 2025
Laura Berger, Aaron Glasson, & Matt Phillips
December 3 - December 7, 2025
Booth A33
Louis Buhl & Co. is pleased to present a group booth at Untitled Art 2025 (Booth A33) in Miami Beach from December 3–7, 2025, featuring new paintings by Laura Berger, Aaron Glasson, and Matt Phillips.
Exploring the subtle interplay of energy and form, Phillips layers hand-mixed pigments into paintings that hover between the logics of light, form, and movement. His compositions oscillate between order and spontaneity, often evoking the patchwork structure of quilts or the syncopation of musical rhythm. Taking a more gestural approach, Glasson stretches abstraction through color and movement, integrating surreal, layered imagery that merges the organic with the fantastical and explores themes of interconnectedness and environmental transformation. While Berger’s works introduce elements of figuration, they remain rooted in the same formal clarity that defines her counterparts. Symbolism and iconography ground Berger’s practice, serving as reminders of the persistent energy that endures within records of human existence.
Though Phillips and Glasson work primarily through abstraction, both draw deeply from human experience: Phillips’s geometric harmonies mirror the sensory rhythms of daily perception, while Glasson’s surreal compositions evoke the psychic and ecological entanglement between people and the natural world. Berger’s stylized figures, meanwhile, engage in quiet acts of rest and connection, rendered in soft, balanced compositions that echo the structures of the surrounding works in the presentation.
With each artist exploring a distinct approach to color, shape, and composition, Berger, Glasson, and Phillips together reveal how formal rigor and emotional resonance can coexist, bridging the perceptual and the symbolic.
