Influenced by manga, comics, cartoons, propaganda, and advertising, FAILE has created the series Puzzle Boxes comprised of various wooden boxes decorated with the duo’s characteristic appropriated collages. The boxes, designed to be physically handled and played with, contain 88 painted wooden blocks that can be combined to create different images. FAILE initially explored with paint on wood for their 2010 exhibition Bedtime Stories at Perry Rubenstein Gallery. Raising questions of process and form, FAILE has created works composed from numerous painted wooden blocks that when assembled build a unified work.
FUTURE RELIC 09 presents an archetypal keyboard that Arsham casts from a mixture of plaster and glass particles. Arsham’s petrified objects serve as anthropological relics, in this case a mimic of a vintage Casio Casiotone MT-500 keyboard. He imagines these objects buried for years, later discovered in an archeological dig, but regardless of specific time lapse, a Future Relic signifies obsolete technology – a signal of human progress or an entropic future.

Eroded Brillo Box is a sculpture found in a future archaeological dig site using Warhol’s iconic 1964 Brillo Box as the base. In collaboration with The Andy Warhol Museum, Arsham has been granted access to the Warhol archives. The passing of time has transformed the object from its original materials into a sculpture inspired by the original Arsham work made of quartz crystal and other calcified geological materials.
Each edition is 9.5 inches in height and weighs 15 pounds. Eroded Brillo Box comes in Arsham studio designed housing with die-cut foam, sealing label, and a pair of white handling gloves. This is an edition of 500 pieces, and each Eroded Brillo Box includes an Arsham Editions holographic label verifying its edition number and authenticity.

Nick Jaskey is a self-taught artist based in Detroit, MI. Inspired by the subtleties of his environment, Jaskey photographs visual details that suggest a deeper dialogue), then draws from the color, composition, and texture depicted in those photos to create abstractions.
"I have always wanted to figure out a way to work my paintings into something functional that can be used in everyday life. This series of pots is just that.
